Condemning the Russian Federation's Invasion of Ukraine and Affirming Recognition of Ukraine's Sovereign Territory

Statement condemning the unprovoked military invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation and reaffirming Kaharagia's recognition of Ukraine's full territorial integrity within its internationally recognised borders, including the Crimean Peninsula.

The state of Kaharagia expresses its profound condemnation of the full-scale military invasion of Ukraine launched by the Russian Federation on 24 February 2022. This act constitutes a grave violation of the Charter of the United Nations, the principles of international law, and the most fundamental norms governing the peaceful coexistence of sovereign states.

Kaharagia affirms its unqualified recognition of the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of the State of Ukraine within its internationally recognised borders, encompassing the Crimean Peninsula and all territories currently under unlawful occupation.

Accordingly, Kaharagia does not recognise the Russian Federation's purported annexation or claim of sovereignty over Crimea or any other part of Ukrainian territory seized or controlled by force. Such claims are deemed null and void under international law and without legal effect.

Kaharagia calls for the immediate cessation of hostilities, the complete withdrawal of Russian forces from Ukrainian territory, and the restoration of peace and lawful order in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations and the principles of state sovereignty.

Kaharagia stands in solidarity with the people and government of Ukraine in their defence of national independence, democratic governance, and the right of all nations to determine their own destiny free from coercion or aggression.
