Article I — Appointment
1. The following are hereby appointed as Chaplains to the Sovereign, within the Ecclesiastical Household of the Principality of Kaharagia:
(a) The Very Reverend Father Matthew Christopher Kennedy;
(b) The Venerable Father Deacon Uriel Patrick-Joan Kennedy; and
(c) The Very Reverend Elijah Seraphim McAlister.
2. Each Chaplain shall serve under the oversight of the Protopresbyter of the Chapel Royal and in accordance with the duties prescribed by the Decree establishing the Ecclesiastical Household.
Article II — Duties and Privileges
1. The Chaplains shall offer spiritual guidance and pastoral care to the Sovereign and the Royal Family, conduct divine services, and pray continually for the Sovereign, the Royal Family, and the peace and welfare of the Principality.
2. The Chaplains shall assist in charitable and ecclesiastical works undertaken under the auspices of the Crown and shall be available for such occasions of worship or counsel as the Sovereign may direct.
3. Each Chaplain shall be entitled to wear the insignia of a Royal Chaplain, being of gold and bearing the Sovereign’s monogram, as a token of office.
Article III — Tenure
1. These appointments shall endure for life unless otherwise determined by the Sovereign.
2. The Chaplains shall at all times uphold the dignity of the Sacred Ministry and the honour of the Crown.
Article IV — Precedence and Style
1. Each shall be styled Chaplain to the Sovereign and shall enjoy such precedence within the Ecclesiastical Household as the Protopresbyter may assign.
2. In official correspondence and ceremonial listings, they shall be designated respectively as:
(a) The Very Reverend Father Matthew Christopher Kennedy, Chaplain to the Sovereign;
(b) The Venerable Father Deacon Uriel Patrick-Joan Kennedy, Chaplain to the Sovereign; and
(c) The Very Reverend Elijah Seraphim McAlister, Chaplain to the Sovereign.
Article V — Enactment, Publication, and Warrant
1. This Decree shall take effect immediately upon Our Signature.
2. It shall be entered into the Royal Kaharagian Gazette and published accordingly.
3. Warrants confirming the said appointments shall be drawn up in the form of litterae clausae, to serve as formal proof of appointment under the Great Seal of Our Principality.
