Sovereign’s Message of Condolence to Her Royal Highness The Queen Mother of Tooro on the Death of King Oyo

Your Royal Highness,

I was deeply saddened to learn of the death of Your Royal Highness’s son, His Majesty King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV.

Called to the throne in childhood, King Oyo grew up with the responsibilities of kingship and devoted his life to the Kingdom of Tooro. His death at so young an age is a sorrow shared by his family and by the people whose traditions and hopes he carried.

On behalf of all Kaharagians, I offer my heartfelt condolences to Your Royal Highness, the whole Royal Family and the people of Tooro. I hope that the affection in which His Majesty was held, and the memory of his life and service, may bring some comfort in the days ahead.

Please accept, Your Royal Highness, the assurances of my profound sympathy and highest consideration.
