Sovereign’s Message of Condolence Following the Tragedy at Debsirin Nonthaburi School

Message expressing condolences to His Majesty The King of Thailand following the shooting at Debsirin Nonthaburi School in Nonthaburi Province. On behalf of all Kaharagians, the Sovereign conveyed heartfelt sympathy to the families of the teachers and school staff who lost their lives, expressed solidarity with the Thai people, and paid tribute to the police and medical personnel who came to the aid of the wounded.

Your Majesty,

I was deeply saddened to learn of the shooting at Debsirin Nonthaburi School, in which teachers and members of the school staff lost their lives and many others were wounded.

On behalf of all Kaharagians, I convey my heartfelt condolences to Your Majesty and, through Your Majesty, to the families who mourn and to the students and staff of the school. A school rests upon trust: children are given each morning into the care of their teachers. That such violence should reach them there is a grief felt far beyond the Kingdom.

In this time of sorrow, Kaharagia stands in solidarity with the people of Thailand. I pay tribute to the police officers and medical personnel who came swiftly to the aid of the wounded, and I hold in my thoughts all who are grieving or recovering.
