Your Excellency,
On the occasion of the Independence Day of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, I have the honour to extend to Your Excellency my warmest greetings and sincere congratulations.
The Bahamian people have built an enduring settlement across hundreds of islands, and have met the hardships of the hurricane season with resolve and with care for one another. I should like to record my admiration for that resilience, and to wish the Bahamas continued peace and prosperity in the year ahead.
