Travellers should continue to avoid the far southern provinces of Yala, Pattani, Narathiwat and Songkhla, where a separatist insurgency persists and a separate regional caution applies. Medical facilities in Bangkok and the major cities are of a high standard. Kaharagian nationals can travel to Thailand with normal precautions.
