Reconsider travel to Israel due to the fragile regional ceasefire and the continuing risk of missile attack and short-notice disruption.
Reconsider travel to Israel. The memorandum of understanding signed on 17 June 2026 has consolidated the regional ceasefire, direct strikes have ceased, and this advisory has accordingly been lowered from Do Not Travel. The ceasefire nonetheless remains fragile and was violated during its earlier phases, most recently by a ballistic missile launch in early June 2026. Air raid warnings, shelter-in-place orders, and airport disruption can resume at very short notice, and the situation along the northern border remains tense. Travellers should identify shelter at each location they visit, monitor official alerts, and keep departure options open. Travel to Gaza remains covered by the separate Do Not Travel advisory for Palestine.
