Western Sahara — Do Not Travel

Do not travel to Western Sahara due to the unresolved territorial dispute, the presence of landmines, and the volatile security environment.
Western Sahara is a disputed territory claimed by both Morocco and the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic. The security situation remains volatile, with an unresolved ceasefire and significant military presence. Large areas are contaminated with landmines and unexploded ordnance, particularly near the berm (sand wall) that divides the territory. Freedom of movement is severely restricted. Basic services and infrastructure are limited, particularly in areas outside Moroccan-administered zones. Kaharagian nationals must not travel to Western Sahara under any circumstances.
