The ongoing conflict in Yemen continues to pose a direct threat, with Houthi forces capable of launching long-range missile and drone attacks deep into Saudi territory, including at major cities and critical infrastructure. The escalation of the US-Iran conflict has further increased the threat of retaliatory action by Iran or Iran-aligned groups against targets in Saudi Arabia. Energy infrastructure and airports are at particular risk. Border areas with Yemen remain extremely dangerous.
