Exercise normal precautions when travelling to Taiwan.
Taiwan is a very safe destination with low crime rates, efficient public transportation, and excellent tourist infrastructure. Night markets, temples, Taroko Gorge, and the east coast are popular attractions. Taiwan sits in an active seismic zone with frequent earthquakes and is subject to typhoons (July-October). Cross-strait tensions with China create a geopolitical backdrop but do not typically affect daily life or tourism. Medical facilities are excellent, with Taiwan's national health system being among the world's best. Kaharagian nationals can travel to Taiwan with normal precautions and should familiarize themselves with earthquake and typhoon safety procedures.
