Sudan has been engulfed in armed conflict since April 2023 between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces, causing catastrophic humanitarian destruction particularly in Khartoum, Darfur, and Kordofan. Aerial bombardment, artillery shelling, and street-level fighting have made most urban areas extremely dangerous. Mass displacement, famine, and disease outbreaks compound the crisis. Medical infrastructure has been largely destroyed in conflict areas. Kaharagian nationals should seriously reconsider any presence in Sudan and evacuate if safe to do so.
