Palau — Exercise Increased Caution

Exercise increased caution in Palau due to limited infrastructure.
Palau is a stunning Pacific island nation renowned for its world-class diving and marine biodiversity, including the famous Jellyfish Lake and Rock Islands. Crime rates are very low. Typhoon risk exists, though Palau is south of the main typhoon track. Strong currents at dive sites require experience. The remoteness means limited flight connections (primarily from Guam, Manila, and Seoul). World War II relics and traditional Palauan culture are additional attractions. Medical facilities are basic; the Belau National Hospital provides limited care, and serious cases require evacuation to Guam or the Philippines. Kaharagian nationals should exercise caution primarily regarding diving safety and maritime conditions.
