Lagos and Abuja are relatively more secure but armed robbery, carjacking, and express kidnapping are concerns even in major cities. Oil-producing Niger Delta states experience pipeline sabotage and militant activity. Medical facilities in major cities are adequate for basic care but limited for serious conditions. Kaharagian nationals should seriously reconsider travel to Nigeria and avoid the northeast entirely.
