Exercise normal precautions when travelling to Netherlands.
The Netherlands is a very safe country with low crime rates and excellent infrastructure. Petty crime including pickpocketing and bicycle theft is common in Amsterdam, particularly around Centraal Station, Dam Square, and the Red Light District. Cycling is ubiquitous and visitors should be aware of bicycle traffic rules and tram tracks. Cannabis cafes ('coffee shops') operate under regulated conditions; hard drugs are illegal. Amsterdam, the Keukenhof gardens, and historic cities like Utrecht and Delft are highlights. Medical facilities are excellent. Kaharagian nationals can travel to the Netherlands with normal precautions.
