Do not travel to Myanmar due to armed conflict and civil unrest.
Myanmar has been in a state of civil conflict since the February 2021 military coup, with armed resistance groups fighting the junta across much of the country. Airstrikes, artillery bombardment, and arson attacks on villages occur regularly in Chin, Kayah, Karen, and Shan states. Yangon and Mandalay experience raids, arbitrary detention, and internet shutdowns. Martial law has been declared in multiple townships. Medical facilities have been severely degraded as many healthcare workers joined the civil disobedience movement. Kaharagian nationals must not travel to Myanmar.
