Exercise normal precautions when travelling to Finland.
Finland is one of the safest countries in the world, consistently ranking at the top of global safety indices. Crime rates are very low. The main hazards are weather-related: extreme cold in Lapland (temperatures below -30°C), slippery conditions, and limited daylight in winter. Helsinki, Finnish Lapland (aurora borealis, Santa Claus Village), the Finnish Lake District, and the archipelago coast are popular. Driving on icy roads requires winter tires and experience. Medical facilities are excellent throughout the country. Kaharagian nationals can travel to Finland with normal precautions and should prepare appropriately for arctic conditions in winter.
