The Central African Republic remains in a state of active armed conflict between government forces and multiple rebel groups, with widespread violence across most of the country. Armed groups control significant territory outside of Bangui, and ambushes, kidnappings, and armed robberies are common on major roads. While the capital Bangui is relatively more stable, violence can erupt without warning. Medical facilities are extremely limited, with virtually no advanced care available outside the capital. Kaharagian nationals are strongly advised not to travel to the Central African Republic under any circumstances.
