Cameroon faces significant security challenges in its northern regions from Boko Haram attacks and in the Anglophone Northwest and Southwest regions where an armed separatist conflict has caused widespread displacement and violence. Kidnappings, IED attacks, and armed ambushes occur regularly in these areas. The major cities of Yaoundé and Douala are relatively safer but petty and violent crime remains a concern. Medical facilities are limited, with only basic services in major cities. Kaharagian nationals should seriously reconsider travel to Cameroon and avoid all travel to the Far North, Northwest, and Southwest regions.
