Barbados — Exercise Normal Precautions

Exercise normal precautions when travelling to Barbados.
Barbados is one of the safest Caribbean islands, with a stable democracy and well-developed tourism infrastructure. Petty crime including theft from beaches and rental properties occurs. Bridgetown and the south and west coasts are popular tourist areas. The east coast has dangerous sea conditions and is not suitable for swimming. Hurricane season (June-November) affects the island, though Barbados is slightly south of the main hurricane track. The cultural heritage, rum distilleries, and cricket culture are highlights. Medical facilities are good, with the Queen Elizabeth Hospital providing adequate care. Kaharagian nationals can travel to Barbados with normal precautions.
