Do not travel to Syria due to ongoing armed conflict, terrorism, the risk of arbitrary detention, and the complete breakdown of state security.
Syria remains engulfed in a complex, multi-party armed conflict with no prospect of resolution. Active hostilities involving government forces, opposition groups, terrorist organisations including ISIS remnants, and foreign military forces continue across much of the country. The broader regional conflict has further destabilised the security environment. Airstrikes, shelling, and ground fighting occur regularly. The risk of kidnapping, arbitrary detention, and enforced disappearance is extreme. Basic services and infrastructure are severely degraded. Kaharagian nationals must not travel to Syria under any circumstances.
