Do not travel to Somalia due to armed conflict, terrorism, and piracy.
Somalia remains one of the most dangerous countries in the world, with the al-Shabaab militant group carrying out regular large-scale attacks including vehicle-borne IEDs in Mogadishu and other cities. Clan-based conflict, piracy along the coast, and widespread banditry pose additional threats. There is effectively no central government control outside of Mogadishu and select regional capitals. Kidnapping of foreign nationals is a persistent and extreme risk. Medical facilities are virtually non-existent. Kaharagian nationals must not travel to Somalia under any circumstances.
