Sovereign's Message of Condolence to His Majesty The King of Morocco Following the Earthquake in the Al Haouz Province

Message expressing profound sorrow and deep sympathy to His Majesty the King of Morocco following the devastating earthquake in the Marrakesh-Safi region, acknowledging the immense loss of life and destruction of historic landmarks, commending the swift response of the Royal Armed Forces and the resilience of the Moroccan people, and extending heartfelt condolences on behalf of the people of Kaharagia.

Your Majesty, HOHE W DEO PATRIA Maximilian, Prince of Kaharagia to His Majesty MOHAMMED VI King of Morocco It is with profound sorrow and deep sympathy that I write to You following the devastating earthquake that struck the Marrakesh-Safi region of Your Majesty's Kingdom. The news ofthis calamity, the magnitude of which Morocco has not witnessed in over a century, has deeply saddened the people of Kaharagia and myself. The loss of over a thousand lives, the destruction of historic landmarks, and the displacement of countless families from their homes is a tragedy of immense proportions. The images of the destruction, particularly in the ancient cities and mountainous villages, are heart-wrenching. It is especially distressing to learn of the many who are still trapped and the challenges faced by the rescue teams in reaching the affected areas. I would like to commend the swift response of Your Majesty's armed forces and the resilience of the Moroccan people in these trying times. The strength and unity displayed by Your nation in the face of such adversity is truly commendable. Please accept, Your Majesty, the heartfelt condolences of the people of Kaharagia and my own. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, and all those affected by this tragedy. 2 Maxammyg ?4 Detroit, 9 September 2023
